I adored Sai from the first chapter he was introduced in. I have great memories from when I wore my regular Sai cosplay, so I was super excited to do another version of him! I commissioned ANBU tattoos from phantomthief, but then I actually got a screencap of Sai in his ANBU form from his little drawing book. Come to find out, he wears a long-sleeved shirt under his vest, so my tattoos are pointless! D: Much sadness, but oh well. I was happy I was able to recycle a few parts from my regular Sai cosplay, such as the sandals, pants (with modifications), and wig. The vest was a bit tricky because my initial thought was to make it form-fitting, but then I didn't want my girly curves to be evident. XD So yeah, lots of fitting to my body to make sure it was "manly enough" before I actually sewed it. The mask isn't the best, but I really didn't want to buy one of the eBay ones that EVERYONE and their uncle has. I based mine off of an unnamed ANBU member seen in a few episodes (although his was blue, not red).
